Friday Favorites // 09.02.16

Friday FavoritesIt’s Friday, y’all! Holiday weekends are the best. Can I get an Amen?  I thoughts I would do a crazy road trip but logic won the war raging in my head. Last week was a doozy and I that would explain my absence. On to some Friday Favorites.

I do have to take a quick moment first to acknowledge September. Seriously, it’s September? Where has this year gone? Well let me share some favorites already.

FAVORITE MOMENT

Nothing unusual about Sunday but my favorite moment was at church. I sat next to my girlfriend and her husband during praise and worship at church and she leans in gives me a big hug and says, “I’ve missed you.” It was a sweet moment and just reminded how blessed I am to have this girl and get to worship with her every week, Treasure those special people.

FAVORITE FIND

Emerald BagSo I’ve been trying to find a way to gift myself and was surfing the Michael Kors site. Look at this emerald bag. Every fall I feel as though we forget about this lovely color. It is definitely an underrated color. I might have to go pick this one up.

MOST REPEATED SONG THIS WEEK

FAVORITE QUOTE

Empowered women empower women – I just love this. Time to put aside comparisons, judgment, jealousy and shaming. There are some women in my life that I admire and look up to and so thankful that they empower me to be the best me.

CURRENT OBSESSION

The Night Of

Please tell me you have already binge watched this awesome show. I have so many favorite types of shows but murder mysteries are at the very top.

The ending to this show left me completely satisfied. I did not get every question answered but its OK. Also, I enjoyed the slowness of this show. You may not have thought it was slow but it definitely had those moments. I usually find myself annoyed if things aren’t happening as fast as I think they should but I took pleasure in this shows speed. Another thing I loved was that the show was not fully only focused on the main event but on the consequences, families involved and the individual emotions of the characters. GO WATCH IT NOW!!

Let me know what you’re doing this weekend!
