Halloween is around the corner and it’s time to watch some scary movies! In my effort to remain fully transparent…I have a confession. I love Jesus and I like horror films. (#TRUTH)
If you’re judging me right now, this blog is probably not for you and that’s OK!
Growing up with a mother who was obsessed with horror films and books, it was only natural that I enjoy them as well. October is almost my favorite month because of Halloween. This means a month long marathon of horror films with a mixture of funny, softhearted films like Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
There is something very nostalgic about October. As a child, I remember my parents going all out on Halloween decor and family coming over to trick-or-treat together. In my teen years, it was mostly about watching scary movies and thinking about the costume you would wear to the party you will one day host. (yeah, still haven’t been to a Halloween party or have hosted one)
Still at the age of 33, my love for these films has not ceased. Here my list of seven films to get you through the last few days before Halloween. These are a handful of my favorites and MUST-SEE horror! Now go cozy up on your couch, under a blanket with some popcorn and drink in hand!!
